Assam - India
We love Indian Assam teas!  They have a wonderful full-bodied, malty flavor and deep color.  Steep this tea for three minutes if you prefer to drink your tea black, or steep an extra minute or two and enjoy with milk.  An excellent breakfast cup.  In fact, Assams are often added to breakfast blends to add richness.  This tea is one of our favorites in the summer over ice.

Castleton Estate - Darjeeling
Darjeeling is to premium tea what Champagne is to fine wines.  The Darjeeling region is located high in the Himalayas, and the climate and soil conditions produce a tea with a winey character known in the industry as "muscatel."  We offer Castleton's 2nd Flush, harvested in June, because of its well-developed, classic and consistent flavor.  The liquor from this fine tea tends to be light, but very flavorful and fragrant.  A superb afternoon tea which can be enjoyed "straight up", with lemon, or with milk and sugar.  Use 1 teaspoon per cup, and steep 3 to 5 minutes.

Ceylon (Organic)
A classic Ceylon Tea. Light liquoring with delicate floral notes.  Lovely tea for afternoon tea parties, or for sipping cup after cup with a good book!  Koslande is one of the estates featured in this regional blend.  Koslande has been a member of the Fair Trade Organization since 1996.  Since 2004, The Fair Trade Organization has invested in a number of projects which have benefited Koslande's workers.  Families have been provided propane stoves and sewing machines enabling workers to earn additional income.  Other projects being planned include new bathrooms, roofs, and improvements to day care centers.
