The enemies of tea are bright light, heat, moisture, and air. Cured tea leaves are like little dry sponges and will quickly absorb moisture and funny odors, and they are also a rather fragile commodity and should never be stored in the frig or freezer. Store your premium bulk teas in small canning jars (out of direct light) or in good quality tins with tight lids and your teas will stay fresh and delicious for up to a year or more.
